Create a Brave, Confident Horse - Without Fear, Force, or Dependence

The EOHIPPUS Course
12 Weeks • November 2025 • 40+ Years of Horse Wisdom

If you’ve ever looked at your horse and thought…
“I want you to feel brave, safe, capable, not dependent on me…”
“I want to understand you, not fight against you…”
“I want trust, not submission. Confidence, not compliance.”

…then you're exactly where you need to be.

EOHIPPUS is a unique horse-first training course designed to help you build a calm, confident, emotionally resilient horse, one who can stand on their own four feet and handle the world with curiosity, not fear.

This course isn’t about “fixing” your horse.

It’s about understanding them, building trust, and supporting them so they feel safe enough to try, learn, and grow.

Learn More

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Read your horse more clearly:
Understand body language, feel informed on their emotions, and read subtle signals so you know how your horse feels

Use food rewards safely & effectively:
Introduce treats without creating a muggy, grabby horse. Teach your horse when food is part of training … and when it isn’t.

Build trust, resilience & emotional strength:
Create emotional security, then add gentle resilience so your horse can cope with life

Use pressure with fairness & transparency:
Incorporate ‘negative’ reinforcement ethically - so your horse gets to decide what feels acceptable and can leave if they feel uncomfortable.

Work through frustration:
For you and your horse. Learn to recognise and defuse training stress before it becomes fear or shutdown.
Start your young horse - the kind way: A soft, empowering approach that builds a confident partner from the beginning.

Break through training plateaus:
If your horse feels stuck, defensive, spooky, or seems to be “getting worse not better,” Connie will guide you step-by-step.

This course gives you clarity, structure, support and a horse who trusts you because you listened.

WHO THE COURSE IS FOR

EOHIPPUS is designed for owners with:

• Young horses, first-time starters, horses they are re-starting
• Sensitive or anxious horses
• Horses who spook, nap, buck, bite, rear, load badly, or struggle to focus
• “Problem” horses who have been to trainers and came back worse
• Horses who freeze, shut down, or panic
• Riders who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or scared to admit they need help

If your horse makes you feel confused, frustrated, emotional, or even a bit frightened…

You are not alone. Eohippus is here to give you the support you need.

The EOHIPPUS Community

You’re not just joining a course you’re joining a community of thoughtful, supportive owners who care deeply about welfare, partnership, and emotional intelligence in horses.

People often say the community is one of their favourite parts.

You’ll never be judged.
You’ll always be supported and free to ask any questions.
You’ll learn with others who believe in kindness and connection.

"6 weeks ago we could barely get 500m. At the start of the course he was buggering off and we could barely get from his paddock to his stable safely. We've still got work to do but man, we are so on the right track!! We hacked 2 hours today and only had one little spook - I am beyond delighted!!

"It really has been life changing for us - we were really unsure if we could manage Keira and where to start , especially with unsolicited advice from other horse owners - like she’s being bolshy and typical 5 year old needs heavy hand etc
All things we were uncomfortable with -
We absolutely don’t worry at all now what anyone else thinks 🤷‍♀️ - if she’s a bit nervy we start with something nice and relaxing for both of us and crack on -  🥰

Connie’s approach to human training mirrors her equine training : patient , encouraging and loaded with genuine interest and enthusiasm. Always able to suggest creative solutions to specific challenges
Amazing experience"

"I signed up to work with Finn, but then Connie encouraged me to practice with Libby. It's been really sweet watching the change in her motivation because we've always had a good relationship but now she's like, I'm available! She's eager to participate and it's improved things in a way that I didn't think I needed and wasn't expecting - Like everyone this weekend was commenting that she's a completely different horse.
It's given me the skills that I'll need to start with Finn. Its fantastic!
I'm really appreciative!"

"The vet came to do teeth yesterday. She was speechless at the change in Poppy's temperament. She remarked many times on the bond between Poppy and I . (I felt like crying!) Nice to have her improvement recognised by a professional who saw her before the EOHIPPUS training!
BTW: her teeth were lovely! 😊"
